A corporate executive at a medium-sized business suspected his staff of employee theft. He came to our private investigation agency and wanted us to investigate.
In a very short amount of time, we found out that nearly ALL of his staff was stealing from him, and as a result he had to fire all of his 45 employees.
We gave him some preventative measures to institute, and he hasn’t had any problems since. Today, his business is thriving, and he has about 700 employees.

I had a case about 4 years ago, where a corporate executive called us and wanted to investigate their particular business. They had about 45 employees, and although they were making decent money, their profit margin was very slim. So, what was really great about this client is he happened to be a really good guy, he was street smart, and he was the type of guy you would want to work for – and everyone [on our staff] really enjoyed working for him.
We went out with a couple of our people, and found out that not only were people stealing product from this gentleman, almost all the employees – all 45 – were stealing.
So, although it was very devastating for him, we ended up having to terminate all 45 people, his business went into a slump for about 6 months, but today I’m happy to report he is thriving and he’s got like 700 employees now.
It’s always great to out to lunch with him and think back about how we were able to save his business, and how appreciative he was, to this day, about our efforts. And by instilling some of the things that we told him to do, he hasn’t had any problems over the last few years, which is always great – to see a client who listens to what you said and puts that into effect.
