THE CASE OF THE HIDDEN CAMERAS IN THE BATHROOM

Have you ever found yourself looking at vents in the ceiling or cracks in the wall, wondering if there are hidden cameras in the bathroom?

In a recent case, we discovered video cameras filming the toilets in the women’s bathroom.

We recently had a case out of the state of California where a company asked us to come in and do a [bug] sweep of their office area.

They thought, from information that was being gathered by the women, that there was a possibility that somebody had replaced a recording device in the bathroom area for the females.

Our team arrived at this location and after about 20 minutes we discovered that there were no monitoring devices inside the bathroom, but we did find 2 cameras that had been very neatly placed in the toilet areas, so that when the females would come in and do their business, the camera would record their activities.

Management decided at this point in time to take the cameras out. We convinced them to leave the cameras in so that we could find out who was the perpetrator. And we placed our own cameras on that particular device.

Later that evening we saw one of the actual engineers of the building come in and take the tape out. We subsequently confronted him, he admitted placing the 2 cameras
in, we were successful in prosecuting him, and he received 2 years in jail.
