Every day, our agency receives calls and emails from people trying to determine where specific individuals are working. There are usually two types of callers: those trying to collect on judgments they have received, and those trying to collect alimony or child support.
We have two main methods of locating a person’s workplace.
We have two main methods of locating a person’s workplace. The first option is to research the person through our proprietary computer system, www.888usunite.com. The benefit of this system is that it contains information not available to the public or through the Internet. We cross this data from with information we purchase from cities, counties and states throughout America.
Even though we have a lot of information in our system, employment records can often be very limited, and there are often access restrictions on employment records. Many databases that contain employment information are protected by the Privacy Act and the public’s right to an expectation of privacy.
The most successful way to determine a person’s place of work is to conduct surveillance on the subject. The time frame is based on the type of work the subject is involved in. Most of our surveillance jobs are conducted on certain days of the week and usually in early morning hours. We charge $150/hour, $0.95/mile, and we work in four-hour minimums. Our minimum retainer is $750. All our vehicles are equipped with video and digital cameras. Video or photos taken are provided on a DVD for easy viewing. At the end of the assignment a detailed, a written and signed report is provided to the client.
