There are an estimated 800,000 podcasts on the Internet, with over 30 million episodes. I’ve always wondered how many of these podcasts are like trees falling in a forest with nobody around to hear if there’s a sound or not.
Almost every week I am asked to be interviewed on a podcast, because our private investigative agency is composed of former FBI, DEA, IRS or Secret Service agents, and we often have a unique perspective on current events. My second book also generated interest on TV, radio and multiple podcasts programs.
One of our senior investigators noted that since we deal with a variety of clients, we might benefit from an appearance on a top echelon podcast. I had some of my staff members research some high-quality podcasts with wide and diverse audiences.
Most of the podcasts they discovered focus on motivating people and providing specific guidelines and techniques for self-improvement. Our staff researched and listened to over 500 different motivational and self-improvement podcasts. We could have easily listened to 5,000 more. It was difficult at best to select “the five” and even more arduous to rank them in order of one to five.
So I wanted to shared these “top five” podcasts that could inspire one to excel – be it professionally, academically, physically, mentally or spiritually.
